I highly recommend Donna! She was born to teach, her skills and heart show in every lesson! I have seen huge improvements in my daughter’s education since we started using her services. If your child needs assistance in learning, do not hesitate to call this woman and follow her guidance. Whether it’s common, or unorthodox, she will find a way to make breakthroughs for you and you will be amazed by the progress!

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome! That’s really the only word to describe the tutoring experience we’ve had thus far! My daughter is extremely dyslexic and has shown vast improvement in the few months that we have used Donna. She’s gentle, patient, and positive in the most perfect combination to help my daughter get through her issues. Thank you Donna and Magellan Tutoring for helping my girl achieve her goals!

If you are needing help homeschooling, this is where you want to get the information. You won’t regret it. I only recommend things and people I believe in and I have tried myself. I was homeschooling before I met Donna and she was able to bring knowledge to my homeschool that took it to the next level. Let’s prepare our kids for the future![]()
What sets Magellan apart from other tutoring services?
Magellan is set apart from other tutoring services because our approach to education is not traditional. I try to pull from Classical, Charlotte Mason and Montessori techniques as much as possible with my students. I approach education of all children from a right brained perspective. Children who struggle with math, reading or executive function usually do not perform well in the classroom. These are the children seeking out tutoring. Many times it is the approach taken in the classroom that is the source of anxiety for these children. I specialize in helping children with learning disabilities (like dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia or dysgraphia), ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Tic disorders and other mental health differences to succeed in obtaining an education that suits their learning styles. We should be changing curriculum to fit the child, not the other way around. Of course, if your child has none of these struggles and just needs more practice or to brush up, a right brained approach will help them as well!
